How did you become an instructor? When I was 15 I walked into a Lucille Roberts with a wig and asked if I could teach Calisthenics- they said yes. That was 30 years ago last may!!!!!

If you weren't a teacher, what would be your dream job? I am a teacher - I was born a teacher. I never wanted to do anything else my whole life. That is why I became a professor

What's the best meal you've ever had? 90 Miles – A Cuban chain around Chicago
What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? Daydreamed constantly…often about fashion. I would rearrange the other kids outfits in my head.
Describe your teaching style: My classes are enjoyable…fun and social. My girls look forward
to coming to class. I try to make everyone feel like they are working out with friends
Anything else you’d like to share? I love teaching and doing pilates. I always demonstrate because watching people do pilates gets me in the mood to contract that powerhouse. I don’t call out people when they do it wrong- I remind everyone. I also do the same “flow” or progression of positions in each class, altering the actual exercises in each position. Except the side series which I am a stickler for consistency. I am also into music and I think that a big part of the enjoyment of my class comes from the soundtrack. Sometimes people sing along…I encourage that
