Growth

Dear Yogis,

Hi [%first_name | there%],

Growth rarely happens all at once. More often, it unfolds quietly with a small shift in our awareness. It’s in the way your breath feels a little fuller than it did last month, or how you respond with a bit more patience than you used to. It’s in the simple act of returning to your mat, even on the days when motivation feels low.

The yoga tradition teaches that the mind becomes steadier when we place our attention on something that truly inspires us. Not what impresses others, and not what we think we should be focusing on, but what genuinely feels meaningful. When we give our energy to something that uplifts us, the mind begins to settle naturally. From that steadiness, growth has room to take root.

This month, consider what inspires you right now. What feels supporting in your life? What sparks curiosity? Let that be your anchor.

All my best,
Amy

Pose of the Month

Vrksasana: Tree Pose

This month at the studio we breakdown
Vrksasana: Tree Pose.
Learn how best to practice this pose in any class all month long!

Sutra of the Month

Yoga Sutra 1.39 teaches that the mind can become calm and focused by directing attention toward something that truly inspires us. Rather than prescribing a single method of meditation, this sutra offers a spacious and compassionate approach: choose an object of focus that feels meaningful to you. When the heart is engaged, concentration flows more naturally, and the mind begins to settle without force.

This teaching reminds us that clarity doesn’t have to come from rigid discipline alone. By anchoring our awareness in something that evokes sincerity, reverence, or connection, we create the conditions for inner stability to arise. In this way, inspiration becomes more than a feeling. It becomes a pathway to calm, clarity, and deeper self-understanding.

Oil of the Month

Our March OOTM is:

Lemon Oil

“Bright and full of life, Organic Lemon brings the pure, sunlit essence of freshly sliced lemons straight to your home. Its vibrant, zesty aroma naturally refreshes the air, helping to lift away unwanted odors and infuse any space with an energizing burst of positivity. Diffuse to help awaken the senses, encourage a cheerful mood, or support a healthy immune system during seasonal challenges. Add a few drops to your favorite DIY cleaner for a sparkling, citrus-fresh finish that leaves your home feeling revitalized and clean. Use with care on skin, as Lemon can be phototoxic.”

Intentional Listening Circle

Sunday, March 29th
6:30-8:00pm
with Kaitlyn Pawlukojc

"I will ask you questions, I will try to understand, and if you give me your story, I will hold it in my hands . . . " Revolutionary Love, Ani DiFranco

Listening is an act of compassion -- for our own selves as well as for one another.  In the practice of deep listening, we pause, become present to what is, and connect in new ways.  The intention is to listen with the "ears of your heart."

When we speak aloud our stories, the words and emotions shared weave our lives together.  This helps us remember that we are not alone and that we can learn from one another.  The encouragement is to add your uniquely colored thread to the tapestry.

Please join us once a month to engage in loving listening as we grow our community together.  The invitation is to bring what you have and ask for what you need.  All are welcome!

FREE to attend (Registration is required)
