Go with the Flow
Dear Yogis,
Summertime has a way of shifting our pace. Schedules get fuller, days stretch longer, and there’s often a little more room to simplify. In yoga, we’re often reminded that steadiness doesn’t come from forcing things, it usually comes from giving ourselves permission to move with a little more ease.
At the studio, we see that same spirit in our community all the time. You show up for class, for each other, and for yourselves in ways that are honest and real. That’s the kind of flow we want to carry into summer: a little less pressure, a little more presence, and plenty of space to breathe.
Wherever the season takes you, may it bring moments of connection and clarity.
All my best,
Amy
Pose of the Month
Eka Pada Raja Kapotasana : Mermaid Pose
This month at the studio we breakdown
Eka Pada Raja Kapotasana: Mermaid Pose.
Learn how best to practice this pose in any class all month long!
Sutra of the Month
Yoga Sutra 3.10 speaks to the gradual quieting of the mind through consistent practice. As we practice, moments of calm begin to arise on their own and the more we soften our effort and trust the process, the more those moments expand.
Rather than controlling the mind, this sutra reminds us to move with it gently, like following the current of a river instead of swimming against it. With patience and consistency, the mind begins to settle, and a sense of ease and flow emerges. This shows us that peace isn’t something we have to chase, but something we can allow.
Oil of the Month
Our May OOTM is:
Seabreeze Citrus Oil
“Seabreeze Citrus is an invigorating aroma crafted to refresh and revitalize the senses, blending bright citrus notes with cool, light hints of sea air for a scent that’s as uplifting and inviting as a fresh ocean breeze. Perfect for anyone who craves a cheerful scent with a touch of seaside serenity, it’s your go-to companion for the arrival of warmer days. Add a few drops into your diffuser to fill your space with a breezy, sunlit vibe or mix it into your favorite DIY projects, like soaps, room sprays, and lotions.”

Class Spotlight: Kundalini
Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic "technology" combining breath, movement, mantra, and meditation to awaken inner energy, strengthen the nervous system, and reduce stress. Often called the "yoga of awareness," it offers transformative tools for daily life such as boosting energy, vitality, and mental clarity through kriya (specific action) sequences.
At the end of the kundalini classes we are currently chanting the peace mantra, “Om Purnamadah Purnamidam..." This ancient Vedic mantra reminds us that we are not separate, lacking, or broken. We are infinite, and from that infinity, all things manifest. There is a unique, undeniable power that occurs when we chant this mantra together, in person. In the shared resonance of a group, our individual "small minds" merge into a collective "greater mind," creating a vibrant energy that can be felt in every cell of your body.

Intentional Listening Circle
Sunday, May 31st
6:30-8:00pm
with Kaitlyn Pawlukojc
"I will ask you questions, I will try to understand, and if you give me your story, I will hold it in my hands . . . " Revolutionary Love, Ani DiFranco
Listening is an act of compassion -- for our own selves as well as for one another. In the practice of deep listening, we pause, become present to what is, and connect in new ways. The intention is to listen with the "ears of your heart."
When we speak aloud our stories, the words and emotions shared weave our lives together. This helps us remember that we are not alone and that we can learn from one another. The encouragement is to add your uniquely colored thread to the tapestry.
Please join us once a month to engage in loving listening as we grow our community together. The invitation is to bring what you have and ask for what you need. All are welcome!
FREE to attend (Registration is required)
